By accessing or using RestInLight (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RestInLight provides an online platform for creating and hosting memorial pages. The Service includes memorial page creation, AI-assisted tribute writing, photo uploads, digital guestbooks, and related features depending on your plan.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
• One person may not maintain more than one free account

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to RestInLight, including text, photos, and other materials. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You agree not to upload content that:

• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, or harassing
• Contains malware or harmful code
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

5. Payments & Refunds

Paid plans are one-time purchases processed through Paddle. All prices are listed in USD. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion.

If you are unsatisfied with the Service, contact us within 14 days of purchase at support@restinlight.com and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

6. AI-Generated Content

AI tribute writing is provided as a creative assistance tool. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before publishing. We do not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated text.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.

For paid plans with preservation guarantees, we commit to making reasonable efforts to maintain your memorial pages for the long term.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, we will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RestInLight shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
